The Fluffy Butt Hut

This Spring we took on a new project, building a backyard hen house so we could have chickens!!

I pulled an inspiration photo from google and showed Brandon. He went to town coming up with plans to make it and gosh, I'm blown away by how talented he is!! He literally started with nothing and created something even better than I envisioned!!

The boys love gathering eggs each day! :-)

Right now we have 7 adult Buff Orpington Hens that lay each day and 6 chicks that are about 2 months old. We also have 2 ducks in there but they're just for fun. :-)

There are still so many little things he wants to do to wrap it up like adding gutters and a door on the other end for the storage area, etc. I just decided to go ahead and do a post because I move onto other projects and forget to write about what we've already done!!
